Girls U13 get off to good start v Ratoath

O’Mahonys got off to a very good start in the Under 13 Division 1 Ladies Football Championship with a hard fought win over Ratoath.
This was a very closely contested game between two very committed teams. Ratoath went into an early lead and the Brews hill side fought back with some nice scores from Ailbhe Leahy and Laoise Mc Dermott. At half time there was only a point in it 3:4 to O Mahonys to 3:3 to Ratoath. In the second half Ratoath had a lot of wides but still managed to pull ahead. They were 2 points ahead with 10 minutes to go. The Navan girls never gave up and finished strongly to win by 4 points. Bethany Rogers, Dee Forde, Eva Flanagan Lizzie Collins and Ailbhe Leahy did well but it was agood team display.
